If you following my hubs, I thought you know with my passion to touch snow in person. Just saw the picture of Ice Hotel made me want to see this hotel someday. From Wikipedia.com I also get the clearly information about ice hotel. Ice hotel is a temporary hotel made by sculpted blocks of ice and snow. This hotel is always attracted with many visitors which interested in novelties and unusual environments. We can find ice sculptures, food and beverages long the lobbies. There are several places we can find this hotel, like: Canada, Norway, Romania, Finland. All of the ice hotels are reconstructed every year during exhibition.
This time I’ll review about The Swedish Ice hotel. This hotel is located on the shores of the Torne River, Jukkasjärvi, Sweden. The construction began in October using 30,000 tons of snow and 10,000 tones of ice. It has over 80 rooms. What can we see around this hotel? We can see a lot of features like: as ice chapel, an ice cinema, Vodka ice bar, ice suits and ice family rooms. Based on the history, this hotel was built in 1990 by French artist, Annot Derid. This is like a giant igloo. Do you know igloo? Igloo is the traditional house for Eskimo tribe. The Swedish Ice Hotel always opened from December through April, with cold temperatures between -5 C to -8 C. The room cost start around $300 per night.
