How To Get A Cheap Hotel Room
So whether your going on a vacation or just want to go to a hotel for a day or two you want to find the best & cheapest price for a room. Hotels can be a pretty penny and when your on a tight budget it seems impossible to get a nice room for cheap. So this past Valentines Day I spent days doing research and then did it again to make sure my info was correct.
Hotels Themselves
Hotels all by there selves will most likely not give you a discount whatsoever. So unless you have big bucks I wouldn't just go to a hotel.
Memberships
This is sometimes helpful. Most hotels give you a discount if you have a certain membership such as AARP or AAA. It may not be much but even $20 is $20. It will save it on the hotel site or contact your membership program to check. Usually they just ask you to see the card when you check in.
Online Booking Sites
Now I checked all the hotel booking sites I could find such as Hotels, Hotwire, Priceline, Travelocity, and a bunch more. Out of all those sites I compared to find which site offers hotel rooms for the cheapest. Drum Roll Please...... Hotels.com is the cheapest.
Why Hotels.Com
Hotels.com is a great site, first off after you book 10 nights (they don't have to be all at one time) you get one free. They have the cheapest room bookings, I did a lot of math, which made my brain hurt a bit, and figured out that you save approximately $20-$30 per room, per night. Now if that's not cheap! Plus they are always running special discounts or mail in rebates on top of your instant savings. They also have wonderful customer service.
So For Maximum Savings
Make sure you go to Hotels.com first, no matter what they will give you the best results. Hotels.com also lets you add your membership if you have one and get an extra discount! So that is the best way to get a great hotel room for cheap!
Things To Remember When You Book A Hotel
If your staying for more than one night~
Pack some sodas and munchies such as chips or whatever else you like (It will save you a ton of money than going to a vending machine) Remember most have a fridge and a microwave to, so bring some stuff so you don't have to go out all the time.
Remember before you book to read the reviews of the hotel, even a nice fancy hotel can have horrible reviews. Reviews are from real people that stayed there, so it's best to read what they say.
Bring you toothbrush, toothpaste, and extra shampoo. Those little bottles will last a women maybe one wash.
Last but not least, have fun! Your out by yourself or with that someone, have a good time.
